THE BETA GUIDE
Privacy.
You can preview the guide for 90 seconds of browsing before signing in with a verified email. Access is free during the beta. Public access help, coverage and this privacy page remain available without signing in.
Guest preview
A necessary cookie remembers your preview across guide pages and tabs. Your 90-second preview pauses while the guide is hidden. If a pause is delayed, up to five extra seconds may be counted. The cookie lasts up to 90 days so we can remember when a preview has ended. Clearing cookies or using another browser can start a new preview.
Preview timing is separate from optional analytics. It uses a random identifier and limited network checks to limit repeated requests, without your email or a browser fingerprint. Cookies and JavaScript are needed for preview timing. You can use email sign-in if the preview is unavailable.
Member accounts
We store your verified email and a separate member identifier for guide access and requested support replies. Registration does not subscribe you to marketing. Authorized administrators can view and export the registered member list, including email, registration and verification dates, and account status. Sign-in links expire after 15 minutes and work once. A secure session cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days; signing out revokes that session.
Sign-in and session tokens are stored as hashes. Access requests are limited using private email and network hashes. These operational records are separate from usage measurement. Expiry does not guarantee immediate deletion; you can request account deletion through support.
Saved shows
Saving a show stores its show ID and order in this browser. Your saved list does not sync to another device or account. Use Remove or Clear saved shows to clear it; signing out also clears it in this browser. Other people using the same browser can see saved shows.
The Saved shows page requests current guide listings for your saved shows. Schedules and recording details are not stored with the saved list. Saving shows does not require optional analytics.
Optional analytics
Optional analytics is currently disabled. No PostHog events are sent.
When analytics is on, Station Break sends page types, show and original-source actions, calendar choices and access and feedback outcomes to PostHog US Cloud. PostHog processes these records in the United States. Counts do not prove that someone watched or listened.
Analytics uses a random browser identifier when it is on and a separate member identifier for authenticated actions. These identifiers are pseudonymous. We do not send your email, name, sign-in tokens, feedback text, full URLs, query parameters, or referrer. The one exception is an approved link source label: X, Reddit, Discord, Instagram, YouTube, email, creator or other. If you open a Station Break link tagged with one of these sources, analytics sends that label. A creator link may also include a show slug. We do not forward your IP address or browser details; PostHog still processes network traffic from our server. PostHog creates profiles for these opaque identifiers so we can locate and delete their events on request. No analytics SDK, automatic capture or session replay is used. Editor and designated internal traffic are excluded.
Your analytics choice is saved in this browser. Analytics also saves a random browser identifier while it is on. If you arrived from a tagged link, it also saves that source label for up to 30 days. You can turn analytics off below; this clears the identifier and source label and stops new events from this browser. Signing out or confirming another account resets the identifier but keeps the source label. Turning analytics off does not delete events already received by PostHog. To request deletion of prior browser events, include the analytics browser ID shown below before turning analytics off. Members can also request deletion through access help using their account.
PostHog project retention and access settings still require verification before activation. We do not promise an unverified deletion date.
Station Break uses one analytics system at a time. Aggregate usage measurement is disabled.
Sign-in, feedback and original publishers
Invited editors use GitHub sign-in and session cookies to access editing. These are separate from public browsing and usage measurement.
Member feedback stores your message, category, verified show/date context, reply preference and member identifier for private editorial review. If you request a reply, authorized editors can use your verified account email. Reports remain available for follow-up; account deletion removes your linked reports. Feedback does not enroll you in marketing.
Feedback notifications contain a report reference and private review link, without your message or email. Delivery failure does not remove an accepted report. Original publishers handle playback and subscriptions under their own privacy policies.
The hosting service may keep technical request logs separately from usage counts. Its logging and retention settings still need confirmation before public release.
